a Noble Revolution is a documentary about the life of Marcella Di Folco, a leading figure in the Italian LGBT movement, who passed away in September 2010. Marcella lived many lives: a male one and a female one; one as the “Cerberus” of the Piper club in the 1960s; another as a character actor in Italian cinema, working with some of the greatest masters, Fellini foremost among them. She later became a political leader, the first transgender person in the world to be elected to public office, and a symbol of civil rights struggles in Italy and abroad.
