alì, a mysterious African boy, appears out of nowhere on the outskirts of a large city. Taken to a mountain hotel converted into a reception center for unaccompanied foreign minors and a nursing home, Ali gradually opens up through the encounters and unlikely alliances he forms along his path of initiation.
Just as things seem to be improving, he is betrayed and flees to the city. There, he is swallowed by life on the streets and slowly, inexorably, disappears back into the same nothingness from which he came.
