dolce far niente portrays Lora Guerra, Tonino’s widow, in the Casa dei Mandorli on the hills of Romagna. Surrounded by memorabilia and letters from Fellini, fifteen years after Tonino’s death she dreams of creating a museum, yet struggles to make herself heard.
With the help of her housekeeper Nicoletta, she tries to complete her memoirs, though visits and memories continually distract her. In a changing world, Lora rediscovers herself as the protagonist of her own story, suspended between past and present, between the desire to leave a cultural legacy and the solitude of old age.
