in the contrast between the social whirl of the coast and the quiet countryside of Versilia, two emblematic figures emerge. On one side, Edda, an elderly woman and custodian of the ancient art of segnatura, a ritual used to ward off the evil eye and fear. On the other, Giulia, twenty-three years old and searching for her own balance, who hopes to become Edda’s magical heir. Their encounter embodies the tension between a still deep and widespread awareness of ancient ties to folk traditions and the need to reinvent one’s identity, seeking new points of reference within the labyrinth of contemporary symbols.
