adriatic coast, 1960s. Luisa and Nina are eleven and seven years old. During a violent storm, the sea claims the body of their fisherman brother. A few weeks later, it gives something back in return: the body of a statue, caught in a trawler’s nets and hidden by the fishermen in a cabbage field.
Nina, the younger sister, believes that beneath those encrustations her lost brother might be concealed. Luisa, more pragmatic, sees the statue as a way to make some money.
With the help of a group of friends, the two sisters set out in search of the buried statue.
